Overview
Main panel features a 2x16 lines LCD display a a volume knob.
The unit can be edited only using the IR remote control DRM-1R which features 40 rubber buttons.

Voice
the module generates 8 voices based on sample PCM - module can be used in 2 different modes:
- Midi interface (keyboard, drum machines): with velocities
- Trigger interface (electronic drum pads): up to 8 sound samples can be assigned to an invidual out and trigger input with adjustable pad sensibility.
PCM Wavetable
there are 23 samples on board at 12 bits, mainly classic percussion.
Each sample can be edited with pan position, phase (for a kind of flanging), tuning pitch and played in MONO or POLYPHONIC mode.
Expansion cards
the wavetable can be expanded using PCM cards "memory card ROM" also compatible with DDD-1 and DDD-5 models.

Sequencer
patterns can be recorded only in real-time mode with some features like: punch in/out options, overdub, loop mode, metronome, tempo change and quantisize (up to 1/48 resolution)
Envelope
only the decay can be set for each percussion. Pads sensibilities can be also set from the edit interface.

"The DRM1 is a pain to use on this tiny panel, but once set it can be fun playing with triggers. Sounds are pretty old and not very up to date, however still a good source for lo-fi percussions. Just be sure to get the remote controller or you will not be able to use/edit the unit."
