Overview
DRUM MACHINE
. Main panel features 8 pads with primitive velocity system, 32 push buttons and a slider volume. Internal stereo speakers (1,3W RMS).
Rear pannel terminal connectors:
- signal out
- headphones
- Midi input
- Foot pedal input.
Orignally the DD-10 came with shoulder strap and a double foot pedal both included.
Voice
main core based on HD6301, custom Yamaha sound generator YM3302 - relative DAC is a YM3012 same found on Yamaha Tx81Z
Wavetable
internal ROM contains 26 PCM waves probably at 8 or 12 bits resolution. PCM are mainly sampled from acoustic drums.
Drum List: Tom x4,snare, rimshot, hihat x2, cabasa, agogo x2, conga x2, bongo x2, crash, splash, synth snare, castanet, claps, cowbell amd kick drum.
Sequencer
basic real-time system feature with metronome and a kind of quantisizer. Some sequencer functions: clear a note, assign a sound to any pads, roll option.
TIP: tempo can be internally set or defined using TAP button.
Midi
machine has only Midi Input to trigger sounds; no special Control Change: just plain Note on/off.

"Cheap 8 bits lo fi toy samples. Could be a nice Midi controller with cool retro 80 design, but it lacks Midi output.
