VOICE Motorola 32 bits Coldfire processor (MCF5307B 90MHz ) on the Main board. There is a secondary processor 87C52 running code from an EPROM. The analog sounds are generated from 8 Oscillator ASICs that feed 8 Filter ASICs. Each ASIC contains two voices. It is reported that ASIC chips creates the "VCO dead voices" problem, and there is actually no spare parts.

OSCILLATOR each voice is composed by 2 digitally-controlled syncable oscillators (+ possible sub) with variable shapes: Sawtooth Down, Sawtooth Up, Sinewave, Square, Sub Oscillator, Triangle and ringmodulation. The oscillators can drift by temperature, but an auto-tune function is implemented.
The Osc Modulation can be trigger by various sources: After Touch, Continuous Controller, Envelope, Keyboard, Knob, LFO, Mod Wheel, Oscillator, Pitch Wheel, Glide / Portamento, Ribbon, Velocity.
FILTER Taking inspiration from iconic Moog modes (Moog 921 A e B at 4-pole) and SEM (state variable 2-pole), the Andreda offers filter -12dB Slope, -24dB Slope, band, notch 6, high pass, low pass, resonance, with pre/post send.
Andromeda also provides external audio inputs that allow you to route any signal through its filters.
ENVELOPE a powerful set of 3 X 7-stage, 3-level digital envelopes with great flexibility with variable segment loop modes.

MATRIX MODULATION : 71 sources+ 92 destinations.
Arpeggiator (multiple layer) up, down, up/down with latch mode and octave set.
Sequencer: classic 16-steps analog style with transpose, variable dynamic and legato modes.
SYNC both arpeggiator and sequencer can be locked to external MIDI clock but this often goes out of sync, which is quite irritating.
