Overview

OVERVIEW Half rack Midi module, made out of metal, main panel features a basic segment 3-digit display, 7 buttons and a single volume knob.
There are 2 other models from the same line with different sounds: Vintage samples SG01V and General Midi SG01k

MIDI nice Midi Implementation, TIP: It is possible to change more sound parameters using Midi Sysex or NRPN.

Sound and Wavetable

SOUND VOICE main core based on a 16 bits NEC D-70236 CPU manages 32 voices polyphony, reduced to 30 if reverb DSP is engaged;
DAC is a nec UPD63210GT and various LSI ASIC (L7A0986 + DSP L7A1045).
Sounds cannot be really edited from panel and there's no computer based editor.

WAVETABLE internal 8mb PCM ROM contains 128 PCM recorded at 16 bits resolution mainly focused on acoustic piano, clavinet rhodes, electronic piano and variations

Edit and effects

ENVELOPE a simple 3-segments EG ADR

FILTER digital resonant low pass filter.

LFO a single delayed modulator is accessible triggering Midi CC#1 modulation wheel .

EFFECTS internal DSP generates 30 reverbs organized into 5 main families: hall, plate, cathedral, metal and ambience.

Memory

MEMORY 50 instrument sounds. NO RAM patch, you cannot save your patches.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT an internal 3V CR-2032 just saves basic settings and the last edited sound, anything else must be saved by Midi dump protocol. After you can do a SG01P FACTORY RESET : "Switch ON holding DATA UP + DATA DOWN"
