8 voice analog synthesizer (2018)
"Rackmount eight-voice analog DIY synthesizer based on rare and iconic Yamaha CS80 later updated with a V2"
OVERVIEW Deckard's Dream is an eight-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer in a 19 "rackmount format. It is inspired by a certain cinematic sound from the late 1970s and early 1980s and of course Greek genius Vangelis and the Blade Runner movie by Ridley Scott.
The synthesizer features a fully analog signal path with two independent voice layers. Discrete waveformers help reproduce the oddities of the original waveforms, especially the sawtooth problem, which is a big part of the CS-80's sound. An autotune function ensures that the 16 VCOs are being perfectly tracked. It even offers detuning and microtuning settings for a more vintage feel. With the addition of MIDI implementation, 256 presets (which can be managed on the integrated OLED screen) and an upcoming software editor provided by Spektro Audio, this vintage-inspired synthetic synth feels like home in any modern studio.
