SOUND machine generates 4 analog percussions:
BD : kick
SD : snare
RS : rimshot
HH: hi-hat.
SOUND EDIT is limited to 2 basic functions:

TONE color is a simple filter for brilliance control
- ACCENT emphasizes all sounds present in a step.
SEQUENCER only STEP entry mode: It is quite easy to write a pattern but without display you have to figure out and count the beats to make something not too randomish. Note that Hi-hats are NOT programmable as they just could be set playing at 8ths/ 12ths / 16ths or OFF.
SYNC system works only as master clock-
2 kinds of trigger pulses to sync other machines like synth arpeggiators:
1- DBS outputs a pulse for each step
2- CSQ outputs a pulse at each ACCENT step and If a 1.5mm jack is connected to CSQ, it does not affect instruments dynamic.
PROGRAMMING to edit a pattern follow this procedure (described also under the drum machine) :
1- Select PATTERN WRITE then get one of the 8 available slots (6 with 16 steps at 4/4 signature or 2 at 12 steps for 3/4) from Bank A- B, choose one of the sound and press START to write a beat or STOP for a step rest.
2- Back to PATTERN PLAY and START (or use pedal switch). The VARIATION function alternates patterns A- B automatically or manually selecting the relative bank.
MEMORY the patterns memory is retained as long as there are batteries. No possible memory patterns backup.
MODDING even if there is not much space left into the box, it seems there are many custom modifications like Kick DECAY / TUNES - that would make it more usable and desirable.

DRUM MACHINE Main panel features 4 potentiometers, a rotary selector, 2 push push buttons and 4 switch tabs. 
Power supply use a standard 9V internal battery (no external PSU). To switch ON the DR you have to turn the volume knobs for this and a Jack MUST be plugged into the main out.
