Sony digital Drumpad DRP-2

 

Hand-held beat box with digital samples and very minimal sequencer.

Main panel features 7 pads with no velocities.


Back panel terminal connectors:
- 1.5 mm jack out.

 

Power supply works only with 1.5V batteries.

VOICE the DRP manages a single audio digital channel.
Each pad has an assigned SAMPLE PC read from the digital wavetable with no possible edit.
WAVETABLE there are 12 PCM waveforms split in 2 banks:
1- BANK 1 is based on a acoustic drum set
2- BANK 2 contains effects like barking dog or all-time favorite car horns (TIP: to access fx bank press hihat then switch on).

SEQUENCER a single USER BEAT pattern can be recorder at 4/4 or 3/4 time signature, programming is in real-time mode with a click metronome and a kind of time quantizes.

 

 

MEMORY RAM is volatile consequently patterns cannot be saved.
There are 8 preset styles rhythms like samba, disco, rock with fill-in variations mode.
TIP: To access presets switch ON pressing either BASS DRUM or SYNTHE.
