Midi Channel Filter Converter

Device filters or converts data from a Midi channel stream.

TECH Midi filter and converter based on MC6801 family.
The MPU can be handy for early synthesuzer with basic implementation like little buffer memory or only a OMNI MIDI IN implementation like the Roland Jupiter 6, a problem if you use same THRU port for various machines chain.
Another example is the Elka Synthex that may crash if it receives some datas like Clock or SMPTE, in that case the MPU just filters all that stuff except note ON/OFF using the appropirate KEY EVENT ONLY function.

 

FUNCTIONS MPU 103 can help in 2 different cases:
1- It filters all data and let pass only note ON/OFF
2- It changes a data from a channel to another
