Cheap Italian keyboard arranger with different preset styles and auto-rhythm functions.

NOTE: I sold this machine a long time ago. Some info may not be complete as schematic uses internal ELKA code and not true IC name ... I miss many clues. if you have more details or send me some more demos, just drop a line.

KEYBOARD 37 keys, no velocity.
Main panel features a segments display, 9 sliders and 76 buttons.

Rear panel terminal connectors:
- Midi interface
- main signal out
- drum rhythm separate out
- master tune knob
- swell pedal input *
- chord pedal input *

* Special custom pedalboard T-150k with link to the optional accordion Elkavox 83.

TECH main CPU based on Texas Instruments 8 bits "7000" family (TMS7000NL-2) most part of the board is based on CMOS TTL technology.

STRUCTURE basically the OMB sound generation is based on digital waves with low resolution:

- Synth instruments are generated by digital DCO based on probably - a "M" SGS chip which waveforms are stored on a separated EPROM. - Drums are plain PCM samples.

SYNTH section contains 24 preset sounds and no possible edit but a simple layers stacking of 2 sounds.

Instrument list contains: flute, guitar, brass, tuba, marimba, clavinet, piano, strings, piano, rhodes, harp and various synths.

 

PCM WAVETABLE internal memory contains 32 PCM from drum machine ELKA Drumstar DR-80

HEAR drum patterns

SEQUENCER arranger zone is split into 9 parts:

- preset bank 1-2 - arrangement - functions - songs - rhythms - variation - tempo set - autobass chords HEAR arrangement

LFO a single vibrato with fixed rate and depth.

MEMORY:

- 24 sound patches - 20 styles - 20 drum rhythms RAM cartridges expands sequencer memory to a maximum of 6 songs. spotted some TDA1022 for internal chorus

 

MIDI basic implementation with no control change, no exclusives Midi sysex.

 

MAINTENANCE many OMB5 not working, frequent technical issues - not always worth to repair-
