Digital Reverb (1987)

Compatc early digital reverb/ delay from famous BOSS MICRO STUDIO budget series.

MINIRACK half-rack module can be fitted into an optional standard 19"shelf rackmount (model RAD-10). Main panel features 4 knobs for edit +1 rotative selectors for selection and an overload indicator led.

Back panel terminal connectors:
- stereo output
- stereo/mono input with guitar / line switch impedance
- bypass pedalswitch input

Power supply external PSU standard 9 VDC -)+ polarity. Various units from the series can be chained, just pay attention to total current draw sum (up to max 700mA)

 

 

TECH digital reverb unit based on DSP BOSS technology offers a sampling rate at 12 bits resolution and 31,25 kHz frequency, a bit lo-fi with a a kind of analog compression.

HEAR original input dry then processed by RRV10.

ALGORITHM system features 9 models of echo-ambient environments or algorithms.
All parameters are easily accessible using frontal knobs for immediate effects change on decay time, gate time and pre- signal EQ.

ALGORITHMS LIST: room (x2), hall (x2), plate (x2), multitap delay, multitap delay reverse and gated reverb. HEAR delay algorithm

EDIT INTERFACE no display but edit is straightforward with simple knobs that change some algorithm characteristics.

TIP: special BOSS cancelling system allows to turn the unit off without killing reverb sounds.

Decay/gate Time Knob set the decay of the reverberation (or the gate time of the gated reverberation). Rotating the knob clockwise makes longer time.   Pre-EQ Knob is a tone filter which adjusts the desired tone: clockwise cuts the lowerfrequency and counterclockwise cuts the higher frequencies. The pre-equalizer section can widely control the lone of the reverb sounds   Effect Level Knob adjusts the volume of the effect sound (aka WET).   Direct Level Knob adjust the volume of the direct (aka DRY) sound.   Exemple - settings for LIVE HOUSE, SMALL / LARGE HALL SETTINGS
