TECH main core based on a 16 bits CPU Intel 8xC196family (C095-90) - Internal sampling frequency range from 35Hz to 15 kHz sampling rate at 16 bits resolution.
VP
unit manages up to 4 individual digital engines (each 1 octave range) assignable to individual Midi channels.
|
The VP- 70 basically works into 3 modes:
- HARMONIZER
- VOCODER
- PITCH to Midi processor |
HARMONIZER Special HARMONIZER sets halftone values for each engine directly by panel o using some macro presets e.g. Major / 7th / 5th.
|
LEFT - By changing the pitch of each pitch shifter in semi - tone steps, the input sounds can be harmonized, creating an effect like singing in a choir. |
VOCODER
It is also possible to directly input notes using a Midi keyboard activating the special vocoder mode. eg While feeding the voice into the VP-70, play key or keys on the Midi keyboard. playing C4, E4 and G4 simutaneously will create a C major chord.
|
The VP70 unit does NOT produce robotic voice like the ancestor SVC-350, since there is NO carrier input signal.
|
pitch-to-Midi function is implemented, very similar to the one implemented on module Roland CP-40.
PANEL FUNCTIONS the edit is quite simple on the display but requires patience to access many sub-menus:
MEMORY:
-
128 patches
Patch can be saved only to sysex Midi exlusives.
|
LEFT Battery replacement memory architecture is based on a TC5564PL20 and a soldered lithium battery (3V Cr-2032).
