Stix Soundmaster
ST-305 Programma (1981)

Programmable analog drum machine inspired by the famous competitor Boss Dr-55

DRUM MACHINE main panel features 5 knobs, 3 buttons for recording functions, 3 switchtabs and 7 sliders for mixing levels.


Back panel terminal connectors:
- 6 individual audio outs (mini jacks)
- master out jack
- a pedal switch input for start / stop
- trigger sync I/O

Power supply 6V on batteries (4 x 1.5V) or 6V with DC PSU.

 

SOUND machine generates 6 analog percussions:

kick	high tom	cymbakl
hihat	snare	lowtom

 

EDIT sounds cannot be much tweaked but 2 parameters:
- Individual volume mix
- Filter tone which is a lowpass filter.

 

 

SEQUENCER only step recording modein other words: note or pause for each step.
Each pattern has 2 bars called "A" and "B" that can be played in alternate mode or with FILL IN MODE.
SYNC the trigger have a pulse input for external tempo or 2 outs with 24 PPQ resolution or recorded by ACCENT.

 

MEMORY:
- 12 slots at 4/4 time signature
- 4 slots at 3/4 or 6/8 time signature
Patterns are non-volatile when batteries are present.

 

 

ST-305 mods no ufficial modding around but adding pots for the internal trimmer for a minimum of tonal control on the sounds.
