Midi Digital Percussion

 

Italian digital drum machine based on preset patterns and PCM sounds.

DRUM MACHINE Main panel features: 9 pads (no velocity) 12 push buttons and 1 knob.


Back panel terminal connectors:
- mono out
- Midi interface
- input for optional pedal model PD-302.

Power supply is a 12V external PSU or 6 1.5V batteries-

VOICE core based on a 8 bits MC68B03P- not sure about the number of channels.
Sounds are based a lo-fi wavetable sound ROM.

WAVETABLE the internal ROM contains 10 samples and 13 sounds :

kick	cabasa	lowtom	cowbell	snare
clap	rim	lowsnare*	closed HH	low kick*
open Hh	cymbak	low HH*

* not accessibleby pads - only by Midi.

MEMORY there are 20 preset patterns in 2 versions with CLAP variation.
Patterns can be chained with FILL-IN intro and swinged with SWING function which does not works on some patterns; Internal clock can be set also using the TAP button.
SYNC the box can be slaved to external Midi clock.

MIDI implementation is more than basic: only note ON with no velocity control and program change for internal patterns.
