Voice
keyboard is split into 2 sections: monophonic and polyphonic
Polyphonic
49 voices based on PWG Polyphonic Waveforms Generator frequency dividers.
The are are 4 PWG sounds presets with minor sonic parameters
:
- BRASS: trombone and trumpet with filter cutoff-resonance plus a 2-stages EG
- STRING: violin, cello and percussion with EG control over attack and decay
- REED: accordion, musette, church organ - 1 EG control for attack segment
- PIANO: piano, clavinet, honkytonk with variable decay
Monophonic
single oscillator DCO (saw / square) can be set to FREE edit mode or to one of the 10 mono presets: tuba, piccolo, trombone, sax , trumpet, flute, violin, bass, guitar and clarinet.
Filter
lowpass controlled by 2 sliders for cutoff and resonance up to self-oscillation.
LFO
a single triangular modulator with 2 destinations:
- DCO Pitch
-
VCF filter
Envelope
a single EG type 4 segments ADSR (only for mono section)
Effect
a single effect ANIMATION, a kind of analog chorus.
Maintenance
polyphonic section seems to be very similar to Siel Orchestra II circuits and it is pretty fragile. Give a good try to this part before buying a Cruise.
Review
OK: /cheap
NOT : unreliable / limited
"Rather basic but for sure it has a vintage soul and raw sound! strings are nice but consider also the Crumar Performer for this"
