Not really a true classic JV synthesizer like 1080 / 2080 series, but more like a superb canvas keyboard with GS-Midi compatibility
Overview
61 velocity keys, standard pitchbender and modulation. Main display features a a 16 * 2 Lines
display, 58 push buttons and 5 sliders.

Voice
architecture manages 24 voices polyphony. Internal ROM wavetable offers 445 tones (317 GS + 128 drums) at 16 bits resolution mainly derived from classic canvas SC-55.
A JV-30 tone can be composed by one or various multisample but PCM cannot be edited.
Sound
various instruments families (e.g brass, piano, orchestral) offering a vast array of 445 PCM bread and butter sounds.
Each tone offers 8 different possible variations ready to go easily accessible from panel.
Performance
system manages up to 16 parts and some parameters:

- fat mode: stacks 2 voices and adds a pan position
- otave add 1 octave lower layer
