Overview
DRUM (weight: 5.5 Kg) Main panel features 5 sliders, 31 buttons, 5 switches and 5 knobs.

Back panel terminal connectors:
- main out at low impedance
- main out at high impedance
- trigger I/O
- 2 pedalswitch inputs



Voice
4 channels and generates 14 analog percussions: bass drum, snare drum, rim shot, hi-hat, cymbal, maracas, claves, cowbell, bongo (2), conga (2), tambourine, guiro and metallic beat

Modes
the CR-78 can be used in 2 different modes:
- arranger with preset patterns
- sequencer with custom programmin

Arranger
there are 34 preset patterns with some possible realtime variations:
- cancel mutes instruments
- 8 different FILL-IN
- pattern variations like conga roll
- balance is simple lowpass filter
- fade in/out smoothes the sequences on both intro or outro
- accent amount
- pattern A/B alternate mode

Sequencer
requires the optional programmer model WS-1: entry notes is with step programming type like note or pause (like Boss DR-55 or Stix ST-305) a bit machine-like method.

Sync
uncommon bidirectional sync at 12 PPQ resolution

Memory
- 4 programmable patterns
Battery model 3.6V NiCad, leaks after many years.
