Portable analog monosynth from the seventies. There are 2 versions with same characteristics:
- branded by Kawai with blu scripts
- branded by Teisco with orange scripts
Overview
(weight: 7 Kg ) 37 keys. The main panel features 10 switch tabs and 18 potentiometer sliders.
Back panel terminal connectors:
- out at low impedance
- out at high impedance
- cv interface control
- CV filter control
Voice
structure is based on a single VCO and a white noise (noise disables the external VCF signal process). The VCO oscillator can be modified with these functions:
-
octaves slector 64' 32' 16' 8' 4' + 1 sub bass bottom (down to 0.3 hZ)
-
saw or square (no variable width) waveforms
-
tuning VCO pitch
Filter
multimode analog resonant filter:
-
lowpass: range: 16 Hz- to 2 0kHz at -24 dB per octave
- highpass: range 10 Hz to 16 kHz.
LFO
single delayed oscillator (saw, triangle and square) and 3 possible destinations:
- VCO pitch
-
VCA amplitude
-
VCF filter cutoff
Envelope
- EG VCA: 2 segments
- EG VCF: 2 segments
CV GATE
is a non-standard voltage control, for a correct control you have to use third-part interfaces to traditional 1V / Oct. Various units can be linked to by the SYNTHESIS CONTROL IN to higher or lower part of the keyboard for an even more awesome duophonic machine.

Review
OK: filter / LFO / portable
NOT : custom CV / 1 VCO / no bender
"True genuine VCO board with great filter and crazy LFO. They may go expensive soon! "
