Sound
Basically the sound generation is based on digital waves with very low resolution:
- Synth instruments are generated by digital DCO based on - probably - a "M" SGS chip which waveforms are stored on a single or more EPROM.
- Drums
are classic and cmpressed PCM samples.
DCO synthesis
24 preset sounds and possible no edit, but it is possible to stack up to 2 instruments at different octaves heights: flute, guitar, brass, marimba, clavinet, piano, strings, piano, rhodes, harp and synth.
PCM wavetable
there are 32 drum samples probably derived from drum machine ELKA Drumstar DR-80.
Sequencer
arranger zone is split into 9 different instrument parts:
-
preset bank 1-2
-

-
functions
-

-
rhythms
-
variation
-
tempo
-
autobass chord
LFO

- 24 sound patches
- 20 styles
- 20 drum rhythms
Review
OK: retro style / Midi / cheap
NOT : edit / sound / too basic
"Sounds very basic, but internal sequencer-arranger is totally fun! Consider many OMB5 reported frequent technical issue."
