Trend price : 200€
Portable virtual analog modeling synthesizer with opened synthesis system.
Overview
KEYBOARD (weight: 3.5 Kg) 37 velocity keys. Main panel features a display, 4 knobs, 12 buttons, an encoder, a pitch wheel and 2 assignable modulation sliders.
Rear panel terminal connectors:
- Midi interface
- headphones
- main out
- line input
- damper pedal inputs
- expression pedal input.
Sound
Coldfire processor handles 8 digital voices. A voice is composed by 3 oscillators
Oscillator
main synthesis system is based on 3 digital oscillators plus a pink/ white noise.
The oscillators feature 3 different waveforms:
-
triangle / sawtooth
- sinewave
-
pulse with variable width
Sync
oscillators harmonic contents can be altered following 4 processes:
- FM frequency modulation: an oscillator controls the frequency of another with variable depth.
- ringmodulator is standard with variable indepth
- hardsynch: master osc restarts the period of the slave one following 2 modes
- softsync: blends more smoothly the harmonics, also 2 different pathmodes
Envelope
3 EGs in total for each voice:
- EG1 amplitude
- EG2 filter
- EG3 pitch / AUX modulation (assignable)
Filter
2 multimode indipendent resonant digital filters at 2/3/4/6/8 poles and 21 models.
LFO
each voice features 2 delayed bipolar modulators with same specs and 4 shapes: triangle, saw, sine and square.
Effects
- FX1: chorus, flanger, phaser and a 40-band vocoder
- FX2: delay and reverb
- boost: outputs can be boosted by distortion, overdrive, fuzz and compressor
Sequencer
patterns can be recorded in 2 manners: real-time mode or step by step.
Memory
-
500 ROM presets
- 500 RAM slotes
-
200 rhythm patterns

Review
OK: synthesis / powerful / portable
NOT : edit / a bit cold
"weird, complicated machine, sound is for sure interesting and rich, synthesis routing system is quite impressive - edit interface and tiny keyboards are awkward- a LOT of power, trapped in this unworthy silver box!"
