Monophonic portable synthesizer: 2 oscillators with a complex and smart analog signal patch routing. Totally underrated machine!
Overview
(weight: 7 Kg) 37 keys. Main panel quite clear features 28 knobs, 26 switch tabs and 2 wheels for pitch and modulation control.
Back panel terminal connectors:
-
audio input for external signal processing
-
filter CV input
-
clock input
-
CV and gate interface
- audio output
Voice
subtractive synthesis generate 1 voice. This voice is composed by
2 voltage-controlled oscillators VCO + 1 white noise generator.
Oscillator
the VCOs have slightly different structure and all their waveform shapes can be summed and hardsynched:
-VCO1: saw / pulse
-VCO2: saw / pulse / triangle
Performance
-the modulation wheel section features a signal routing Matrix system
- automatic glides in legato mode
- normal glides lag mode
Filter
4-poles resonant lowpass filter based on chip Curtis CEM 3320.
In addition 2 extra functions:
-
keyboard track process
-
audio input processes external line sources.
LFO
1 main modulator and 2 destinations:
-
VCO pitch
- VCF cutoff
Envelope
- EG1 VCA amplitude ADSR
- EG2 VCF filter ADSR
Sequencer
a simple and intuitive 40 steps notes sequencer is onboard with a handy transpose shifter, arpeggiator is limited to up & down directions.
Sync
sequencer and arpeggiator use LFO frequency as clock, but it is possible sync to external clock sync IN (pulses signal at +5V).

Review
OK: powerful / matrix / CV
NOT : cheap finish / getting expensive
" One of a kind: powerful and really flexible, strange noises... VCO/VCF 3340/3320 combination is killer and gives such a lovely raw and punchy sound. Underrated!."
