Midi Synchronizer (1986)

 

Synchronizer between various time analog and digital formats.

The KMS30 converts Midi clock to 24/48 PPQ especially useful for analog setup.

SYNCHRONIZER BOX Main panel features 5 switch tabs, no display.

Rear panel terminal connectors:
- 1 Midi IN
- 1 Midi OUT
- 1 sync IN
- 2 sync OUT
- 1 tape IN RCA
- 1 tape OUT RCA

Power supply is a 9V external PSU polarity (negstive tip) - use any common universal PSU.

 

TECH main 8-bits CMOS MPU 6303RP.
KMS30 system converts tempo requency between 3 time formats: sync, tape and Midi

TIME FORMATS some considerations about the supported time formats:

-Midi clock is essential to sync classic drum box to modern setups, for this the KMS is a perfect bridge from sequencer clock to drum box sync. -Sync switch between 24 and 48 PPQ- useful if you want to sync 48 PPQ Korg drum machines (e.g Korg KPR-77) to 24 PPQ Roland standard (e.g Roland TR-606) or vice versa. -Tape sync: this is now a pretty obsolete standard used by old tape deck multi-track recorder.
