Functions

SEQUENCER  The interface is pretty similar to MPC60 and records up to 99 chainable sequences,  each sequence can have up to a maximum of 99 tracks in a BPM range: from 30 to 400 which is pretty nice. The sequencer works  in either in Record or Overdub mode with 96 divisions per ¼ note -  with  TIMING CORRECT button while recording lets you repeat notes at a rate determined by the quantize value setting (check below).

Memory
-  60,000 notes
- 99 sequences
- Tracks per sequence: 99
- 20 songs and 256 steps per song
Disk Upgrade Internal 720kb disk can be replace by more modern USB disk, still slow but more reliable and can contains a lot more of information.

QUANTISIZER from low 1/8 to 1/32 triplet.

SYNC modes:
- SMPTE
- Standard MIDI Time Code
- MIDI clock
- MIDI Song Position Pointer
- FSK 24 (pretty old)
- analog input at 96PPQ

Midi record features

- Special Drum Track mode (percussion name assign)
- Midi note enter with quantisize
- Sustain pedal input recording
- Midi Punch IN mode in bars  to 1/96th of a quarter-note beat.
- MIDI Iinput filter, at the time memory was really tiny, so it was not a luxury to exclude some events to save space! the MIDI messages which can be selectively filtered out are:  • Pitch Bend • Program Change • Channel Pressure • Polyphonic Pressure • System Exclusive •
-
SYSEX RECORDING the ASQ10 can record sysex dump   but only messages below 512 bytes, too low to record classic synth dump patch, a bit worthless function.
