Ibanez Time machine
AD-190 (1980)

 

Classic analog delay and flanger based on BBD time chips.

EFFECT (weight: 2.2 kg / dimension: 85 x 340x 145 mm) unit is a little smaller than standard rackount uni, however an optional kit was available for this.

The main panel features 7 knobs and 3 lever-switch.

Front panerl terminal connectors:
- mono input at -20/35/40 dB
- dry output
- wet outout
- bypass footswitch input.

VOICE nit based on 2 BBD chips MN3005 and MN3007 (+ MN3101).
The time machine generates 2 effects:
1- delay
2- flanger,

 

DELAY time range from 20 to 400 ms: generally high values degrads the signal up to a very dark sound (from 10 kHz down to 1500 Hz) which is not bad by the way. The regeneration parameter defines the number of feedbacks while blend defines the dry/wet balancing amount.

FLANGER features 2 proper controls:
1- flanging width
2- frequency speed that can be set from 2,56 to 12,5 ms.

FILTER the tone control is a simple lowpass filter.
